Stationery Products Could Fit the Corporate Gift Giving Bill

At first glance, it doesnt seem like giving stationery products, as corporate gifts would be such a good idea, because after all, who wants to wake up on Christmas morning to find a ream of copy paper or a staple remover in his stocking? There are, however, very nice examples of stationery products that many people would love to receive as a corporate gift, and many of these can also be monogrammed with the company name and logo for only a small additional charge, to give an added bonus of company promotion.

The office worker always appreciates a high quality pen, as pens are forever disappearing around offices everywhere. Many luxury pen manufacturers offer a variety of different models, ranging in price from around ten dollars to several hundred, and even thousands, depending on the level of quality and the type of materials from which the pen is made. Multiple styles are offered as well, including ballpoint pens, fountain pens, and roller balls, and most of these offerings also come with their own decorative box, for a nice presentation. Additionally, many manufacturers offer sets consisting of a nice pen with a mechanical pencil that is typically made of the same material and in the same style as the pen, or sets with multiple pen styles, all packaged in the same box. Any of these options are sure to please any office worker recipient.

Another good idea for a corporate gift is a nice hardbound organizer or appointment book. Everyone could use a little more organization, and this type of gift is the perfect way to provide it. Ranging in price from $15 to over a hundred, these books can come with a variety of backing materials, from canvas to leather. High quality organizers are a particularly nice gift to give during the winter holidays, as the ones that contain a calendar for the following year usually come out during that time, and are also a good way to help with any New Years resolutions the recipients may have to start becoming more organized.

A quantity of personalized high quality letter writing paper can make another thoughtful stationery gift idea. Available with many different designs, this type of gift is one that many people generally do not buy for themselves, but enjoy receiving as a gift nonetheless. It can be customized with the recipients name and contact information in a nice font, and typically also comes with a set of envelopes to match the paper. This type of gift is perfect for personal letters, thank you notes, and invitations to parties, and is bound to make a great corporate gift or stocking stuffer during the holiday season.

As the recipients of personalized stationery must have someplace to keep their present, fancy lacquered stationery boxes are another example of a gift idea that will be well-liked by the receiver. Ranging in price from around ten to fifty dollars, these keepsake boxes are available in a wide variety of styles, and have decoration ranging from the very simple to the ornate. Often, they will feature such additions as inlaid ceramic tiles, mother of pearl roundels, and painted designs, and can make a beautiful addition to ones desk or office.

Depending on the level of quality, stationery items can make wonderful gifts in a corporate setting. Whether the gift consists of a pen set, hardbound organizer, personalized letter writing paper, stationery box, or other type of stationery item, it is important to maintain a high level of quality in each item to ensure the gift will be well appreciated by the recipient.

Sports Gift Themes Make It Your Business to Know Theirs

When shopping for the holidays there are so many choices available and it is important to explore your options when choosing your business gift this year. Sports gift themes are becoming more and more popular as employers and employees are looking to break away from the boring desk clock or mouse pad and give a gift that will be exciting and appreciated this year.

When choosing a gift for a client or employee, creating a sports theme is a great way to get everyone excited. Gifts of fun and leisure are becoming much more popular than they used to be. It is important to investigate the recipients favorite teams, or local clubs before buying and it will certainly pay off! Your gift will be fun and exciting as well as memorable and the best part is there are so many choices.

Popular sports related business gifts can be anything related to the sport your recipient loves. Try tickets to a favorite sports game, or a t-shirt from their old college. If you want to spend a little more, maybe purchase a piece of sporting equipment or choose from a variety of sports themed baskets. Even sports themed jewelry, such as a watch or key chain can be appreciated. For the more expensive gifts look into luxury box seats, season tickets, or a deep sea fishing excursion. The sky is the limit when exploring all the sports related gift options for everyone on your business list this year.

If you are looking to reward groups of people or even your whole office consider getting a suite or luxury box tickets so that everyone can enjoy the game. Even a group of seats that are together at a sporting event can be a great way for people to enjoy their favorite sport and bond with each other at the same time. Try taking your whole office on a rock climbing adventure, or even go sailing. There are many opportunities for teambuilding on these types of adventures and you should take the opportunity to combine the gift you are giving with some fun and exciting teambuilding exercises. This will help your office bond as well as give a gift that everyone can enjoy.

By choosing carefully you may even help your business grow by giving the gift of fun as well as business. Many deals and negotiations arent happening in the boardroom anymore. They are happening at the golf course or in the ball park. By giving tickets to a game you are saying both thank you as well as lets do business again; we care about your interests. If you want to say thank you to a colleague, get him tickets to his favorite game. If you know your boss plays golf every weekend; get them a great new golf club. The networking done at theses sorts of events is a great way to meet new contacts or just say thanks for a job well done and by investigating ahead of time, you may be making a very smart business move. By recognizing your recipients interests you can give a sports related gift that will both be appreciated and admired.

Make it your business to know your clients favorite sport and you may open the door to a new way to conduct business and thank those who make your business run smoothly. By taking an interest in the interests of others you can find better and easier ways to communicate, do business and make work enjoyable. This year you should consider a sports themed gift and your efforts will be greatly appreciated this holiday season!

Something Unique- Give the Gift of Specialized Service to Clients

Something Unique- Give the Gift of Specialized Service to Clients

When it comes to buying gifts for clients there are so many options. Some companies like to stick with the tried and true and thank their business worthy clients with a gift basket, flowers, wine or gift certificates. Still other companies choose to give out merchandise with the company’s log on it such as wall calendars, pocket calendars, pens, mugs, shirts and so on. Another option is to be truly unique and other your clients the gift of specialized service.

Specialized service to clients is a method of thanking those who are loyal to your company. Unfortunately, this is something that most companies do not focus enough on. If they did perhaps they would find that it would bring them in even more clients. Specialized services can mean different things for different companies. In retail for example some stores offer a discount on select items on select days. For example you might want to have a 10, 15 or even 25 percent day off on all selected merchandise. Throw in a twist by having a 10 percent off day and then dropping another 10 percent off the price at the cash register if the purchases equal $25.00 or more. Or maybe you can have a day when you give something out for free to the first 100 customers through the door. Thank your customers in any way you can and you are likely to see many happy, smiling faces and people who will return time and time again.

Have a customer appreciation day not just once a year but many times throughout a year to thank your clients for their patronage. This can work at a retail store as easily as it can work at a bank or an insurance company. Offer some sort of incentive to clients who have been with you for some time. Many companies offer incentives to new clients interested in doing business with them but forget about people who have been with them for many years. Do not let your need to bring in new clients cause you to ignore or neglect your loyal, steadfast clients. Keep in mind as well that word of mouth counts for a great deal and happy long term clients are likely to spread the word around to other people, be it good or bad.

Regardless of what specialized services you decide to give to clients remember that everyone wants to be treated with respect and dignity. Everyone wants to be treated as though his or her business is important to you. Feature draws where clients can win money or gift certificates to select stores and send thank you gifts whenever it is called for. As an example, tins of cookies, a gift of chocolate or a jar of candies is a thoughtful and unexpected way to thank your clients for a job well done or a deal that has become a success.

If you decided to go the candy route, purchase a clear or colorful jar and then fill it with either one type of candy (if you know it is a kind that the client adores) or a variety of candies and then tie an attractive ribbon around it and then attach either a handwritten card or else your business card to the ribbon. Wrap the candy jar in either quality wrapping paper or else place it in an attractive gift bag. If you choose to wrap it in gift-wrap but your wrapping is not the best then find out if someone in the office is a wiz at wrapping and enlist his or her help. You can either have the gift delivered or personally deliver it yourself, which ever is more convenient. Remember though that everyone always appreciates personal service.

Six Great Incentive Gifts for Employees

Posted by admin | Gifts for the business sector | Wednesday 11 February 2009 6:25 am

Incentive gifts are ways to encourage your employees to put their best foot forward and to do the very best job possible. Excellent job performance should always be rewarded and therefore choosing the appropriate gifts is so important. It is essential however to also keep the individual interests and personalities of your employees in mind. What might work as an incentive to one person might not for another. Some people are in jobs where there is little thanks involved therefore there are some employees who will be pleased to receive any kind of gift. Know your employees well enough to be able to choose wisely. Lets look at six great incentive gifts for employees.

The first is a gift certificate. Gift certificates come in any number of dollar denominations and you can purchase them for many different stores and establishments, be they restaurants, clothing stores, movie theatres, video stores, grocery stores and even coffee shops. If you know that a certain employee enjoys going to a movie every Friday night or another often eats out at a particular restaurant then the choice is easily. Plus your employee will be pleased to see that you have noticed his or her personal preferences. Pick out a nice holiday card and include the gift certificate in that with a handwritten message. Virtual gift certificates for online stores are another option that is quickly gaining steam.

The second incentive gift is a food or gift basket. You can either order one pre-packaged from a store or over the Internet or else buy an assortment of goodies and make up your own. Suggestions include a coffee or tea gift basket with cookies or wafers, a chocolate gift basket, gourmet meats and cheeses gift basket, or a fruit basket. Whether you buy one as is or make one up yourself make sure you prepare an individual handwritten card for it and make sure the packaging is attractive. Some companies go one step further and give out turkeys for Christmas to each employee and/or a fruitcake.

The third incentive gift is something new for the employees desk or office. Perhaps it is a desk or wall calendar, a new blotter for the desk or a desk organizer. Or maybe you have more money in your budget and decide to opt for buying your employee that new LCD computer screen he or she has been wishing for.

The fourth option is the tried and true but it always works well. Plants or flowers work as incentives for many employees because they make a home or office look beautiful. Plants are also believed to improve the air quality of a room. You can opt for either a bouquet of flowers or flowers in a gift basket or else a potted plant. Many companies give poinsettias for Christmas because they are Christmas flowers but for something different, you might want to give your employees a Chinese bonsai tree or a fern.

The fifth gift is a common one for many companies. Most people enjoy a drink over the Christmas holidays, so giving a bottle of wine or another type of liquor, such as brandy is a nice touch at Christmas time. Wine is the standard choice but if you want to be different go ahead. If you know someone who makes their own wine then have bottles made up for your employees with special labels put on them including each persons name.

Finally the sixth incentive gift is anything with the company logo on it whether it is a pocket calendar, a shirt, a pen, a mug, et cetera. If you have a number of different types of company merchandise then give each employee a gift basket assortment of

items.

Say It With Flowers During the Holiday Business Gifting Season

Say It With Flowers During the Holiday Business Gifting Season

One gift option that is often overlooked in the business world is the prospect of giving flowers. One of the easiest gifts to give, flowers can readily be ordered from any local florist by simply picking up the telephone and specifying what kind and how much money one wants to spend. Many people enjoy receiving flowers just as much as more traditional presents, as they do a good job of brightening up any room or office, and generally emit a scent that is very pleasant. Also, flowers make an excellent gift for clients or suppliers during the holiday season, as they not only show appreciation for the company, but can serve to help decorate that companys office.

Choosing the right type of flowers for the season is important, as many kinds of flowers are traditionally appropriate only for certain times of the year. During spring, flowers such as daisies, lilies, or tulips are often sent, and add much color to a bouquet. Christmas often brings flowers that are deep red, such as roses or poinsettias. Likewise, certain types of flowers are appropriate for autumn, such as chrysanthemums.

After deciding on the right kind of flowers, there are other options that one can choose from as well, and picking the right kind of container for the flowers can make or break the arrangement. Many people prefer the traditional glass vase for a more formal option, as it presents a stately appearance. Or, if one would prefer a more informal look, ceramic or metal vases are increasingly popular these days, and often come decorated with beautiful hand painted designs. Additionally, baskets have become a fashionable way to present a bouquet, especially of spring cut flowers. Another good container idea is to package the flowers in an item that can be used again, such as a kitchen implement. Flower arrangements have been sent in teapots, colanders, martini glasses, souffl pans, and other unusual things that the recipient can use long after the flowers inside it have dried up.

Besides cut flowers, another option that is available for delivery from florists and other companies is a potted plant, which may or may not contain flowers itself. Although generally more expensive, flowering plants can be a much better option than a bouquet in that the gift lasts much longer with the proper care. Many companies will deliver these plants in a couple of days, and will time the delivery so that the plants are blooming upon arrival. Miniature roses, the most popular variety of this type of gift, are available in a variety of colors, and look and smell just as beautiful as their larger cousins. Other available types include miniature magnolia plants, potted lilies, and potted orchids. Attractive non-flowering plants can make a good option to send as well, as cacti, miniature bamboo trees, and miniature palms are always popular among recipients. These attractive plants are low maintenance, and are nice to have around, especially if they are housed in an attractive pot. Herb plants in particular are a well-liked gift, as their use goes far beyond decoration. Recipients of these plants, such as lemon basil, sage, rosemary, and oregano, can take them home and use the leaves in homemade recipes for a special treat.

So, before you decide to spend twenty-five bucks on another gift card for a business associate or on another can of caramel popcorn for that important client, consider sending flowers or a plant this holiday season. Its an easy, inexpensive gift that can be delivered the same day, and is guaranteed to put a smile on the recipients face.

Regional Themes are Hot in the Corporate Gift Basket Business

Regional Themes are Hot in the Corporate Gift Basket Business

When selecting a business gift this year you have many options to choose from. Many companies have created products that are perfect for gift giving, are not too personal, and send the appropriate message for the holidays. One hot gift giving trend in the corporate world is regional gift baskets. They are a great way to say thanks this year to those in the business world that deserve recognition.

There are companies popping up left and right that are creating gift baskets unique to a certain region. One such web site is called expressionsofgratitude.com, where a buyer can select a gift basket from a particular state or region. These baskets contain items that can be found, or are popular in this particular area. They are becoming very popular especially for business gifts because people like to connect a person with a place when giving a gift. Maybe you would choose the place where your client lives, or where your business is located. These regional baskets are unique and fun, and are a great way to say thanks this season.

If you want to send a special gift to a client who has a winter home in Colorado, for example, a regional gift basket from trbccorporategiftbaskets.com includes the book Seeing Colorados Forests for the Trees by John Fielder, as well as Lemon Pepper Pasta, butter pecan popcorn, white chocolate popcorn, mountain scene coffee, wine jelly, buffalo (beer) bread mix and chicken and rice soup mix. This can be purchased for $76.99, and has a taste of Colorado with that special touch.

These baskets are not the usual boring gift baskets that we used to dread getting as a gift. Many have gift certificates, books, films, and food and drink items that are unique to that specific region. They are much more personal and fun than a generic gift, and send the message that you care. They are a great way to identify something special about the other person and to give a gift that is unique to them.

If you wanted to send a gift basket for the holidays to a client located in Connecticut, you may want to visit forcorporategifts.com, where if you choose the state of Connecticut you are given a beautiful selection of corporate gift baskets unique to that particular state.

Baskets that reflect their interests, support the local sports teams, or include information about the place in which the basket is themed are all common. There are companies that make baskets that include fruits, meats, and plants all common in the local areas. Many of these baskets have wine made in the region, as well as cheeses, breads, and even seeds that are often planted in the area. Many people choose baskets with a sub-theme reflective of the local flavor such as a wine basket from the Sonoma Valley, or a Coffee basket from the Big Island of Hawaii. Each basket includes items that connect you to a place, or a culture.

The site giftedbasket.com is a great place to get a gift for someone from San Diego, California. Here you will find baskets names, Lifes a Beach and South of the Border that include food and candy of this theme in an adorable basket decorated to suit the pickiest of gift givers. These fun and unique baskets are personal and thoughtful, without crossing that business/friendship line.

If you are looking to purchase a great gift for the holidays and want to find something that will be unique and special, you may want to consider a regional theme gift basket. Your clients, co-workers, or boss will love the personalized items unique to the region and it is a nice way to give thanks to those who are important to you in the business world over the holidays.

Personalization Can Be Important for your Clients Gifts

Posted by admin | Gifts for the business sector | Sunday 8 February 2009 12:16 pm

Giving the right business gift can be an important boon to your corporations. Business gifts for clients lets them know how much you appreciate their business and lets them know that you hope to keep their business in the future. Of course, your corporation is not the only one who knows this, so you are probably not the only one doling out the gifts. So, how do you make sure your gift helps you stand out over and above the competition? Personalizing your business gifts can be just the ticket for letting your client know you value THEIR business, not just any business.

When you go about thinking of ways to personalize a business gift, there are a number of ways you can look at. First of all, consider personalizing things in the very literal sense of the term have your clients names or initials included on the gift somewhere. You can get just about anything engraved, be it a crystal desk clock or a new iPod. Personalizing a gift for your client lets them know that you picked out the gift specifically for them and arent just simply handing out gifts to everyone who comes through the door.

Another way to personalize gifts for your clients is to buy them gifts that reflect their interests. If you have one client who is a golf nut and you give him a set of golf balls, and another client who loves music, and you give her a subscription to an online MP3 site, each client will feel like you value them enough as a customer to take the time to know their likes and interests. Again, this kind of personalization lets them know that you have shopped for a gift specifically for them instead of handing out some kind of generic business gift to all of your clients. Your attention to detail about them personally will reinforce for your customers you attention to detail when dealing with their business.

Another kind of personalization does not involve your client at all, and it may not be the kind of personalization first comes to mind when you are gift shopping; however, it can be a very useful tool for your business. Consider personalizing your client gifts to include your stamp in some way. If youre giving coffee mugs, pens, t-shirts, tote bags, crystal goods, or even electronics, all of these can be personalized with your own company logo. It doesnt have to be distasteful. It is easy to throw your company information on a coffee mug or pen, or you can place a discreet logo on a clothing article or tote bag. Either way, this kind of personalization can be a win-win situation for you and your client. Your client gets a nice gift that lets them know that their business is valued, and you get to keep your business fresh in clients mind and you might even get some free advertising out of it!

You can go for one of these personalization ideas, or use some combination of all three, but the most important thing to remember is to work some kind of personalization into the gifts you get for your clients. Buying gifts for clients can be an expensive prospect, so it is important you get as much bang for your buck as possible. Personalizing your clients gifts can turn them into great investments for the future success of your business. Your clients will note the personal care and attention they receive from you when they receive a personalized gift, and they arent likely to forget that when they need your services in the future.

Perpetuate Your Company Name with Marketable Business Gifts

Posted by admin | Gifts for the business sector | Saturday 7 February 2009 1:36 pm

All companies want their names to be remembered and to live on into perpetuity in the minds of their clients as this helps to encourage repeat business. One of the best ways to do this is to give out marketable business gifts when it is called for. Do not go overboard or get too lavish, as you don’t want to seem showy or overly pretentious but think elegant and simple with a touch of class. The Internet has made it possible to purchase business gifts that say exactly what you wish them to say. Of course sometimes too much selection is not a good thing because it makes it harder and harder to narrow down your choice to just one or a couple.

Always aim for quality in the gift itself as well as the packaging. If you are sending office supplies, for example, or a new electronic gadget, the wrapping and the card speak volumes to the recipient. Buy the best quality wrapping paper, gift bags, boxes, cards, ribbons and bows without going outside of the company’s budget.

Being marketable means standing out from the crowd and this means being unique and innovative in your gift giving. One way to do this is to pay close attention to a client and he or she likes to determine an excellent choice of gift. If you have occasion to visit the office of a client take note of what is in the office. Does the person love vases, knick-knacks or anything that helps to organize their desk? What about plants? Is he or she a plant lover or not? You might want to send your client for example a small Bonsai tree. If the client has a flare for the Oriental, you might want to find something related to Feng Shui to present to him or her as a business gift. Not only will your gift be much appreciated, it is likely to become a conversation piece to whoever drops by your client’s office!

Always bear in mind that whatever gift you choose to send a client reflects back on your company and because you represent your company, it reflects back on you too. Whatever you do, resist the urge to bypass the personal route. In other words do not order something from a catalogue or over the Internet and have it gift wrapped by someone else and then send a form letter version of a card to accompany it. This says impersonal with a capital “I” and is not what you are striving for at all. This is not the way to be marketable and it is not likely to make the best impression. People like it when they receive a gift that another person put thought and effort into and little personal touches are just as important as how aesthetically attractive the outside of the gift looks.

Put yourself in the place of the client and try to envision what his or her personality would enjoy in a gift. If the gift is to be sent to someone who is from a different culture than your own, make sure you are aware of the customs of that culture so you will not offend the recipient. For example, the Chinese do not believe in using white gift-wrap for any occasion because to them it symbolizes death. Death and business gifts do not mix!

Handwritten cards are the way to go and if you have a business greeting card you might want to send just that or include it with the handwritten card. Christmas is an excellent time to send along both. Do not just sign the card but instead write the person’s name on it, say a few carefully chosen words related to the occasion for sending the gift and then sign the card. Nothing could be more marketable then the personal approach to business gift giving!

Perfect Corporate Gifts for the Retiring Employee

Posted by admin | Gifts for the business sector | Friday 6 February 2009 1:27 pm

When most people think of retirement gifts, they immediately picture a gold watch, as it has become a symbol of retirement due to its past popularity as a way to send off a valued employee. These days, some companies are getting more creative with the way they honor their outgoing employees, and are coming up with some new ideas for retirement gifts.

For the retiring duffer, nothing could be better than receiving a new set of top-of-the-line golf clubs. After all, the retiree will have a lot of time to play golf after he stops working, so it would be nice to send him out on the links in style. Along with the clubs, a matching golf bag would be a great addition to the gift, as the gift presentation can be made with the clubs inside the bag. And, for a special personal touch, the bag can be monogrammed with the companys logo, and a short message thanking the employee for all of his years of hard work. That way, the retiree can look back fondly on his former company while he is relaxing on the golf course.

Another way to honor an outgoing employee would be with a gift certificate to a travel agency or airline, good for two round-trip tickets to any destination in the United States. One goal that many retirees have upon leaving the workplace is to travel more, and this gift would be the perfect way to get the employee off to a good start. A more inexpensive twist for companies that may not be able to afford this option would be a gift basket made of different travel items, such as travel guides to a variety of destinations, a portable travel clock, a disposable camera, a passport holder, and other items of this nature. Travel-minded retirees are sure to enjoy either of these gifts that are designed to help them enjoy life after work.

For the retiring homebody, a new high definition television would be just the ticket to maximizing the rest and relaxation of retirement. One thing that a great many retirees have in common is that they watch more television than they used to, and having a bigger and sharper picture would be most enjoyable, especially as people get older and their eyesight isnt what it used to be. HD TVs come in many price ranges depending on the size and technology, and range from a few hundred dollars to several thousand, so odds are this option would suit many companies budgets.

Portable DVD players have come way down in price over the last several years, and represent the perfect way to combine the travel and television themes of retirement gifts. These diminutive components consist of a tray where a DVD is inserted, and a small LCD screen for viewing the picture. When not in use, they fold flat just like a laptop computer, only a lot smaller for easy storage. For a person that is planning on hitting the road in his motor home after retirement, this gift would provide hours of entertainment and enjoyment. Or, it can also be hooked up to a persons television at home to act as a regular DVD player if he or she so desires. And for an extra accent, this gift can be combined with a basket full of hand selected DVDs, perhaps of movies with a retirement theme.

To come up with the perfect corporate gift for an outgoing employee, all one has to do is find out what that persons goals are for life after work. Whether its golf, travel, or simply relaxing at home, a retirement gift that helps the retiree meet those goals is sure to be well appreciated and will help the former employee remember the company fondly.

Out of the Ordinary Business Holiday gifts = Instant Recognition

Out of the Ordinary Business Holiday gifts = Instant Recognition

With the holiday season sneaking up on us, its time to start thinking about giving gifts. Gift-giving is extremely important to your business relationships; maybe more than you know.

A simple gift can say so much. From the givers end, giving a gift says, I hold our relationship as being important, I am thankful for your effort or hard work, and most importantly, you are important to me. Just like other relationships in your life, business relationships need to be taken care of. If you dont take care of these relationships they will not be as strong as you might like or they may not last very long.

Hopefully, you can see how important a gift is for your business relationship. Everybody likes to feel special and important and your gift can give that to them. Not only will a gift make the receiving party feel important and appreciated, it will build up the relationship and make it that much stronger; a definite plus in the business world.

When giving business holiday gifts its highly suggested that you steer away from giving everybody on your list the same thing. This is the easy way out and doesnt show a lot of effort on your part. Remember that each person is an individual and this should be reflected in the gifts that you buy.

Another important aspect of gift giving in the business world is that at this time of year, almost everybody is giving gifts or sending cards. This is why its important that your gift stands apart from the rest. Instead of your gift getting shoved into the garage with a million other things that will never be used, make your gift stand out. Spend the extra time and effort to find what would really please this person or what would make your gift stand apart from everyone elses.

Now for the burning question: How do you do that? Well its pretty simple. If you want your gift to stand out from all of the other gifts that a person will receive, put some real effort into it. Sit down and think (or if youre like me, use a notepad) of everything you know about that person. Do they like to fish? Do they like sports? Do they have a sweet tooth? Did they just move into a new home? Did they just buy a new car? Anything that tells you about who they are or what is going on in their life at this very moment should go onto your list.

There are a few things to remember about gift giving. Dont give items that are too personal like perfume. This will send the wrong message to somebody and maybe get you into trouble. Alcohol should only be given if you know for sure that a person drinks. If not, dont even bother. Because a lot of people have religious beliefs or are recovering addicts, its best to stay away from giving alcohol.

Go over your list and see what jumps out at you or what spontaneous ideas come to mind. Then hop online or head down town to find the perfect gift. If nothing pops out at you from your list, take the list with you. Think of things that will be useful or special. Useful gifts are the best. They get used often and every time the person uses it they will think of you. This is great for building business relationships because it keeps you in the persons daily thoughts when you otherwise wouldnt be.

So have fun shopping and be sure not to fall into buying something safe. A little quirky or fun something will be appreciated as long as its in theme with someones interests. Remember the point is to stand apart from the rest.
